Automated IBC Filling

For high frequency and volume production, the manual approach may no longer be the best option. In such cases, it is very easy to automate the IBC Docking procedure but much more challenging to automate the lid handling (removal and replace).

Matcon have developed another novel and patented design for this task, the ADU (Automatic Docking Unit).

• Fully automated – fork truck driver can continue to next task.
• Fully enclosed – no exposure between product and outside environment.
• Easy to clean – especially pillar mounted version as illustrated.
• Allows for safe nitrogen purging – when required

The ADU is versatile and can be utilised with any type of IBC, including existing units in the field.
